Happy new month #July. The year is flying guys.
Time and time again I hear people  wishing and longing to be in Relationship. " you and your boyfriend are goals'' or "I can't wait till I get a boyfriend" and my response is always it's not all it cracks up to be. 

Now don't misconstrue what I'm trying to say here. Love is a beautiful thing I should know I have been blessed enough to be in a relationship for just over 4 years now and I couldn't picture myself without my wonderful boyfriend but at the same time, I always tell my single friends not to wish themselves into relationships.

After all, the best kind of  relationships are formed when it occurs unexpectedly when it creeps up on you by surprise the moment you're not looking for it.

Begin single is treated with animosity. It's like there's only two  reasons why you are single, either you can't find a partner or your just too much of a slut to settle down. It's a shame that relationships are seen as the best part of life, people are so dependent on others and seek their gratification and companionship, why ?

Be your own hero, superman is busy

Your singles days can be some of the most productive and liberating times of your life. Begin single allows you to experience the world in the most selfish way possible (in a tasteful way of course) this may be the only time in your life you may get to be this selfish, no finical and emotional pressure of supporting and maintaining a relationship. Begin single can be a transcendent time in your life. Here's why (Love you, boyfriend!)

1. It's about finding yourself

We all are aware of our own Idiosyncrasies. Begin single allows you to get to know who are you really.  A full S.W.O.T (Strenght.Weakness.Opptunitys.Treats) analysis can be carried out, uncover yourself dig down and find your roots. Resolve past baggagies.

Begin single is about finding out who you are and why you are they way you are and ironing out the folds.

2. Falling in love with yourself

In the journey of self-discovery, I think the step people skip is falling in love with them self(not in a self-absorbed kind of way).

Sometimes when you are in a relationship you tend to get so involved and consumed by the other person and the love yous share that you forget to love yourself. The importance of self-love is if not the most important lesson being single can teach you. When you love yourself it means you know your worth you stand for something. But if you don't value yourself before entering a relationship you will

A. Fall for anything and
B. Be so dependent on your partner you will loose your identity.

Those who love themselves hold the ability to create happy and fulfilling lives, unbothered by other and unmasked they live their truth with no apologies.

If you feel you're at a crossroad you cannot love to your fullest capability finding your true self and evolving will allow those who enter your life to be enriched by the experience.

4. Being selfish 

When you're in a relationship, you tend to put someone else's needs before yours but when you're single you get to be selfish for all the right reasons. You get to dip yourself in numerous activities making up the rules as you go, nothing holding you back except your state of mind.


There's no recipe to living a great life. I think a life well spent is one where you lived it according to your rules and not cause you felt pressure or you were to scared to take the road less traveled.
