P.S I Love You

This post is dedicated to the strength, love and support of the two most important women in my life. The loves of my life. My women my everything.

I took a moment recently to reflex and re-evaluate my life and my support system and its true what they say when you count your blessing you will be amazed to see what you really have.

I have two driving forces in my life that are constantly and undoubtable always pushing me to do and be great and those two un stoppable forces are my mom and my older sister.

Soul sister and then some. 

My older sister is without a doubt is my best friend, recently (well not so recently almost 4 years now) she moved over to the UK. Although when she was living Ireland we didn't see each other often but there was a certain comfort attached to knowing that she was around, so when she moved it goes without saying it shook me up a bit but I was happy for her cause she was chasing her dream. My older sister is what you would call "A go getter" She has always been someone I looked up to. When she's faced with any obstacle or adversity she faces it head on and always comes out on top. Her strength is remarkable and inspiring the older I get the more I fall in love with her. She is such a strong Independent young black women who is unapologetically her self and I aspire to have that strength and beauty both externally and internally.

Mom I adore you 

My mother is one of the most honest and frank speakers you may ever possibly come to meet. Growing up this was both a good and a bad thing, cause she really had no filter. I feel that this is were I get my passion for words from. Words cannot begin to describe my appreciation and love for her.  The one person that stood by me through all of life storms. "It takes someone strong to make someone strong".  Everything good about me came from my mom. If I can be half the mother that she is one day I would consider Motherhood a success.
Mother daughter relationship, I feel are sometimes the most complicated for many reasons but one day you'll realise that your mom was the best friend you never knew you had. For me, that day has come.

Its unfortunate that ever so often we don't know the value that people hold in our lives till they are gone.

 "you don't know what we have till its gone "

and I must admit I contribute to the realism of that statement.

So I wanted to take this time out just to acknowledge, the two pillars in my life.
I encourage you to use this time to tell someone how much they mean to you. I'm sure they knew you care but when was the last time you told them.
